Drink to Gin Day, Negroni Week at These Bangkok Bars

BANGKOK — As this week marks Negroni Week and Saturday is World Gin Day, several Bangkok venues will celebrate the occasions with special menus. Some will donate up to 50 baht of their proceeds to charity.

Here below is a list of participating bars.

Cho Why: Gin bar Teens of Thailand and cocktail bar Asia Today on Saturday will host Bangkok Gin Day from 4pm till late at Cho Why art space in Charoen Krung’s Soi Nana. The event will have more than 30 labels of gin and dozens of craft tonics. Admission is free.

Toro Bangkok: The tapas bar in Thonglor’s 72 Courtyard will host G&T Night from 6pm on Saturday, offering three glasses of gin, tonic and garnish of choices for 1,200 baht. The signature drink, crafted by mixologist Nawin Pimolrat, will also be available.

Whisgars: The bar on Soi Sukhumvit 23 and its sister branch in Silom will host Negroni Week from now through Sunday. Thirty baht of a negroni cocktail purchased will be donated to SOS Children’s Villages Thailand.

Iron Balls Gin Parlour: Until Sunday, Charred sandalwood negroni and sparkling wine-added Negroni Sbagliato will be among four special menus served at the bar on Soi Sukhumvit 45. Each drink is 360 baht.

Vesper: The cocktail bar on Convent Road in Silom will participate in Negroni Week through Sunday. They will donate 35 baht off each cocktail purchased to the Thai Red Cross Society.

Black Amber Thonglor Social Club: The cigar bar on Soi Thonglor 6 will offer free flow cocktails 8:30pm through 9:30pm on Saturday. Donations are welcomed. All proceeds will go to the Soi Dog Foundation.

Bunker Sathorn: Escape to Bunker on Thursday where Thai-inspired negronis will be served fresh by head bartender Wareewan “Oil” Yodkamol. A portion of the proceeds will go to provide food for orphans via the Fordecthai Foundation.

Rabbit Hole: Until Sunday, the three-storey bar on Soi Sukhumvit 55 will donate 50 baht off each glass purchased to help those who need facial surgery at Operation Smile Thailand. From 7pm through 8pm on Friday, the bar will offer free-flow cocktails.

Smalls: The jazz and absinthe bar on Soi Suan Phlu will offer three special negronis created by its head barman Danny Yeung through Sunday. Parts of the proceeds will go to Share Cancer Support.
