BANGKOK — Canadian pop star Shawn Mendes will sing his hits “Stitches,” “Treat You Better” and “Mercy” for the first time in Bangkok later this year.

As a part of his The Illuminate World Tour, 18-year-old singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes will stop by Bangkok to perform live on stage, organizer Bec-Tero Entertainment announced Wednesday.

The concert will take place Dec. 11 at Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani. Tickets start at 2,000 baht and will go on sale May 12 at Thai Ticket Major.

Mendes rose to fame in 2013 when he posted his song covers onto video app Vine. He was signed to a record label the following year and released his studio debut “Handwritten.” Its single “Stitches” reached the top 10 in the United States and Canada, and No. 1 in the United Kingdom.
