BANGKOK — For the first time since the suicide of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington last year, his former co-singer on Monday morning announced that the Thai capital will get a date on his upcoming solo tour.

The Post Traumatic Tour will take place on August 9 at Muang Thai GMM Live House on the eighth floor of CentralWorld. Tickets, start from 1,600 baht, will be available online on May 14.

Known as the band’s rapping half, singer-songwriter Mike Shinoda on Friday posted a picture online saying, “Sawadeecup! Another tour announcement! Coming on May 6th. 9pm PST.”

The concert will be arranged by Bangkok promoter BEC-Tero Entertainment.

In January, Shinoda released his “Post Traumatic” EP which dealt with his grief over his bandmate and friend’s death. Two months later, he announced that he would embark on a May tour heading through Los Angeles, Tokyo and Leeds.

Bennington, 41, was found dead in July at his home near Los Angeles on Thursday. Coroners said he hanged himself.
