BANGKOK — Only a day after releasing lo-fi funk tracks “She’s My Sweet” and “Fuck the Toronto Raptors” for the Met Gala, Canadian musician Mac DeMarco announced Wednesday he’s coming back to Thailand.
Describing his style as “jizz jazz,” multi-instrumentalist DeMarco will perform live in Bangkok at the next gig organized by indie promoter Have You Hard.
The show takes place at 8pm on Aug. 1 at Voice Space. Tickets go on sale at TicketMelon starting Friday for 1,600 baht before eventually 1,800 baht for the second phase. Groups of four can purchase tickets for 6,000 baht.
Voice Space, the Voice TV event hall, is located on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road.
DeMarco previously performed in Bangkok in 2013 at the now-closed Cosmic Cafe with indie trio Yellow Fang.
