A woman has shared a disturbing experience after booking a ride through a popular ride-hailing app, saying she was forced to stare at what appeared to be a creepy human-face mask inside the vehicle and became concerned about passenger safety, particularly at night.
The woman posted photos of the vehicle and recounted her experience on Facebook. She said she noticed an object resembling a human face or ghost mask attached near the front seat while she was travelling in the car, leaving her shocked and frightened.
“I called this car and had an experience that felt like a nightmare. At the time, I was in a hurry, so I had no choice but to take the ride. But I couldn’t stop thinking about what it would be like if a woman or child booked this car at night,” she wrote.
She said she had reported the matter to the ride-hailing app’s customer service team, but felt that her complaint had not received much attention. She ended her post by saying she felt “sad” about the experience.
Photos shared in the post showed a frightening human-face mask hanging behind the driver’s seat, alongside a sign bearing some text. Another photo showed the vehicle parked by the roadside, appearing to have its rear bumper removed.
The post quickly attracted a large number of comments and shares. Some users questioned whether such equipment was appropriate and raised concerns about passenger safety, especially when women or children travel alone at night.
