Have Some Wine With That Cheese and Film at Alliance Francaise

‘It’s Only the End of the World’ (Juste La Fin Du Monde)

BANGKOK — Ditch plans to crunch theater popcorn to Disney. Alliance Francaise is serving up platters of cinema, pate and wine for film buffs to savor at an affordable price.

Apero Cine will host two Tuesday evenings of a currently running Canadian-French family drama with a special menu offered by the venue’s kitchen.

“It’s Only the End of the World” (Juste La Fin Du Monde) is the poignant tale of a terminally ill writer who returns home to tell his family the bad news after a 12-year absence.

The film is written, edited and directed by the Cannes-winning director Xavier Dolan. It screened at Cannes last year to a mixed critical reaction. The film won six Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Motion Picture.
