BANGKOK — The first time it took place, thousands of bookworms hunted through two million books for 60 hours straight. This August, a massive book market returns with more piles to pore over for 17 days and nights.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale returns to Bangkok for its second edition with more than three million English-language books on just about everything from cookbooks and hardcover encyclopedias to fiction, graphic novels and business how-tos. All books will be discounted 60 percent to 80 percent.
The first warehouse book sale was held in 2009 at Malaysia’s Selangor. It then spread into Indonesia and was held in Thailand for the first time last year.
Beat the crowds and go after midnight – the sale runs 24 hours a day, Aug. 11 through Aug. 27 in Hall 9 (Impact Forum) at Impact Muang Thong Thani. It can be reached by taxi or Impact Link van from BTS Mo Chit exit No. 4 and MRT Chatuchak Park exit No. 3.
