BANGKOK — 9 June 2026, Thai telecommunications and technology company Jasmine International Plc (JAS) has reportedly secured the domestic broadcasting rights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, ending months of negotiations with football’s governing body.
The tournament will be held from 11 June to 19 July 2026 across the United States, Mexico and Canada.
JAS had been engaged in late-stage talks with FIFA over the rights package. Previous reports indicated the company was seeking a fee closer to the US$15 million reportedly paid by Vietnam, while FIFA was said to be holding out for US$40 million, or more than 1.3 billion baht.
According to local media reports, JAS has now finalised a deal to acquire the rights to broadcast the tournament in Thailand.
Key details, including viewing options, broadcast platforms, the number of matches available on free-to-air television and any streaming arrangements, have not yet been disclosed.
JAS is scheduled to hold a news conference on 10 June 2026 to officially announce the agreement and provide further details on coverage plans for Thai viewers.
