SAMUT PRAKAN — 30 June 2026, Rescue teams were dispatched after a construction barge capsized near a pier in Samut Prakan on Tuesday, with two people reported stranded in the water.
The Facebook page NAKON45 Anyawut Pho-amphai reported that Ruamkatanyu Foundation had sent its water rescue team to respond to an emergency involving a capsized construction barge near Suk Sawat Soi 84.
Preliminary reports said the barge, which was being used for construction work, overturned near the pier of a private company opposite Suk Sawat Soi 84 on Suk Sawat Road in Phra Samut Chedi district, Samut Prakan.
Initial information indicated that two people were in the water awaiting rescue. The incident falls under the jurisdiction of Phra Samut Chedi Police Station, with emergency responders assessing the scene.
