Udon Thani woman found wandering naked, allegedly seeking lover

UDON THANI — 19 August 2026, Residents were left startled after a 26-year-old woman was found walking naked along a road in Udon Thani on the evening, allegedly searching for her boyfriend.

The woman, identified as Beer, was seen walking through the Nong Sai community in Nong Na Kham subdistrict, Muang district, while smoking a cigarette. She reportedly told officers and residents that she was looking for a man named Keng Noi and asked them to take her to him.

Police and local residents intervened and provided her with clothes before taking her home for her safety.

The incident was reported at around 18:00 on 19 August after residents spotted the woman walking naked along a road in the area. Concerned motorists and residents alerted authorities, who arrived with local residents to assist her.

Officers attempted to calm her and talk to her before taking her to her home in the Nong Tu area. Authorities said she appeared to be experiencing abnormal behaviour and needed close supervision to prevent possible harm.

According to a friend, identified as Joe, a pseudonym, the woman had known him since their school days and came from a relatively well-off family.

Joe said she later moved to Pattaya to work at a bar, where she reportedly earned a good income and accumulated money and gold jewellery. She was once considered financially well-off and was known for wearing a large amount of gold jewellery.

However, after returning from Pattaya, her behaviour reportedly changed significantly. Joe said he suspected that she may have become involved with illegal drugs, which he believed could have contributed to her unusual behaviour and apparent loss of awareness.

He said she had on some occasions behaved erratically, including removing her clothes and wandering around the city.

Police initially took the woman home so her family could closely monitor her condition. Authorities said the circumstances surrounding her behaviour and its possible causes would need to be investigated further.

Police have not confirmed that drug use was the cause of the woman’s condition.
