PHUKET — 31 August 2026, Border patrol police arrested four young suspects in two linked drug cases in Phuket, seizing a total of nearly 6 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, along with ketamine and drug-laced vape pods.
Police said officers from Border Patrol Police Company 425 first arrested three teenagers, aged 17, 18, and 19, at a room on Ranong Road in Talat Nuea, Mueang Phuket district, on 30 August.
Officers seized about 2.68 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, or “ice”, 131.9 grams of ketamine, drug-use paraphernalia, a digital scale, and four mobile phones.
The three suspects, whose names were withheld, were charged with jointly possessing methamphetamine for sale in circumstances allegedly causing its spread among the public and affecting national security, possessing ketamine without permission, and using methamphetamine illegally.
They were taken, along with the seized evidence, to Mueang Phuket Police Station for legal proceedings.
Police said further investigation led officers to arrest a fourth suspect, a 25-year-old man from Satun, at locations in Talat Nuea, Mueang Phuket district.
Officers seized about 3 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, 85 vape pods containing ketamine, a grey Honda PCX motorcycle registered in Phuket, and a black iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The suspect was arrested near Nopphakhun Soi on Mae Luan Road, with the operation continuing into an alley beside a noodle shop on Satun Road.
He was charged with possessing methamphetamine and ketamine without permission in circumstances allegedly causing the drugs to spread among the public, using methamphetamine illegally, and driving while methamphetamine was present in his system.
The suspect and seized evidence were also handed over to investigators at Mueang Phuket Police Station for further legal action.
