NAGOYA, Japan — 30 September 2026, Thai tennis player Mananchaya Sawangkaew’s Asian Games tennis campaign ended in the women’s singles quarterfinals after she was beaten 0–2 by Kazakhstan’s Yulia Putintseva on 30 September.
Mananchaya, ranked No. 89 in the world and seeded No. 5, faced Putintseva, the world No. 79 and No. 3 seed, at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan.
Putintseva, who reached a career-high No. 20 in the world in 2025, proved too strong for the Thai player, winning 6–3, 6–0.
The defeat brought Mananchaya’s run at the 2026 Asian Games to an end in the quarterfinals.
