Bangkok, Thailand – October 9, 2025 — The International Podcast Creators Alliance was officially launched at the Second Gen Z International Podcast Festival, marking a new step in global podcast collaboration. The event, themed “Podcast: An Extension of Reading,” took place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok.
Hosted by the Academy of International and Regional Communication Studies at the Communication University of China, and supported by the Thai Booksellers and Publishers Association, the festival gathered podcast creators, scholars, and industry leaders from Thailand, Indonesia, the United States, and China.
Speakers highlighted podcasts’ growing cultural and creative role. Duangporn Sudhisomboon called podcasts “a new form of exploration,” while Professor Zhou Ting emphasized their power to foster intercultural dialogue. Du Yuanzhi, CEO of Vocal Supreme, noted their “strong cultural and commercial potential.”
The newly formed International Podcast Creators Alliance seeks to connect creators worldwide and expand the global influence of podcasting. Its founding members include Chinese podcast brands ShengDong HuoPo and JinJin LeDao, alongside global shows such as Culture Limited, Left and Right, Do You See What I See, and Tang Makkaporn.
The Second Gen Z International Podcast Festival will run from November 2025 to May 2026, with new video and audio categories, including a partnership with Bilibili.
