AIS Business today announced the successful deployment of the world’s first multi-operator enterprise eSIM connectivity network for IoT, in collaboration with Bridge Alliance and Thales. Built on the latest GSMA SGP.32 specification, the solution reinforces AIS Business’ role as Thailand’s digital infrastructure leader by enabling Thai and regional enterprises to seamlessly connect, manage and switch IoT devices across multiple operators and countries through a single orchestration platform. As one of four Bridge Alliance member operators, alongside Globe Telecom, Optus and Singtel, AIS successfully completed multi-operator testing, demonstrating Thailand’s readiness to support scalable cross-border enterprise IoT deployments across Asia Pacific and advancing seamless regional connectivity for businesses operating across multiple markets.
As digital transformation accelerates, enterprises are increasingly adopting connected devices to deliver smarter services. GlobalData forecasts cellular IoT and machine-to-machine connections across Asia Pacific will reach 1.3 billion by 2030, driving demand for secure, scalable, and intelligent cross-border connectivity. However, enterprises operating across multiple countries often face fragmented connectivity management, operator-specific provisioning, and complex operational processes, increasing costs and making seamless connectivity more difficult.
To address these challenges, Bridge Alliance and Thales have jointly developed a new platform combining Thales’ end-to-end IoT eSIM solution, the latest GSMA SGP.32 specification, and advanced orchestration capabilities. The platform enables centralized connectivity management, allowing devices to automatically connect to the optimal participating mobile network, switch operators seamlessly, and maintain uninterrupted service without physical SIM replacement. Successful testing was completed using devices supporting both the IoT Profile Assistant Embedded, or IPAe, and the IoT Profile Assistant on Device, or IPAd, based on the latest GSMA SGP.32 specification. Enterprises can now automate connectivity management throughout the entire lifecycle of connected devices while improving operational efficiency, strengthening business continuity and enhancing service resilience across regional markets.
