BANGKOK — Blackmores has launched “Blackmores Fizzers,” a new vitamin supplement in fizzy granule form, in Thailand for the first time, offering consumers a new way to take vitamins that is designed to be fun, refreshing and sugar-free.
The launch event, “INTO THE FIZZERS WORLD: More Fizz…More Health,” introduced the new product line, which features Fizzy Granules that dissolve easily and contain 0% sugar. The products can be consumed in several ways, including mixed with water, allowed to dissolve in the mouth or chewed, according to the company.
Mrs. Priti Halai, country manager of Blackmores Thailand, said Fizzers is a new product developed with plans for a global rollout, with Thailand among the first countries to launch the product.
She said the idea behind Fizzers came from consumer feedback that taking multiple supplements in pill form can be inconvenient, particularly for people who want to take different vitamins and supplements for different health needs.
“The idea of Fizzers came from consumers who told us that it was too much work to take each pill for everything they wanted,” Mrs. Priti said.
The new format is intended to offer consumers a simpler and more enjoyable alternative, while the company also selected flavours it believes will appeal to Thai consumers.
Blackmores said the launch reflects a broader shift in consumer behaviour, with Thai consumers increasingly looking at health from a more holistic perspective rather than focusing on individual health concerns.
Thailand is also the largest Blackmores market in Southeast Asia and South Korea, according to Mrs. Priti, making the country an important market for the company as it expands its product portfolio.
Priti said price is not the most important factor when consumers choose vitamin and dietary supplement products. Trust in the brand and product quality are more important considerations, she said.
“As a result, even when we see changes in consumers’ purchasing power, vitamin supplements are not necessarily the first products to be affected,” Priti said.
Blackmores Thailand currently holds a 24% share of the country’s vitamin and dietary supplement market, which is valued at 1.2 billion baht, according to the company.
The market is expected to grow 7.8% this year as consumers increasingly focus on preventive healthcare, Priti said. The growing interest has also intensified competition, with new brands entering the market and established players turning to product innovation and more targeted offerings.
Blackmores has continued to focus on developing products that respond to changing consumer behaviour and lifestyles, particularly the growing demand for health products that are convenient to use, she said.
Blackmores Fizzers marks the company’s first introduction of Fizzy Granules in Thailand. The portable sachets are designed to give consumers flexibility in how they take their vitamins while fitting into different daily routines.
The range currently comes in three formulas:
- Immu Plus (Orange flavour): Contains vitamin D3, vitamin C and zinc and is designed for consumers looking to support their daily immune health.
- Nicotinamide Plus (Mixed berry flavour): Contains nicotinamide, zinc and vitamin C, offering an option for consumers focused on skin care and overall wellbeing.
- Performance Plus (Strawberry and apple flavour): Contains 225mg of magnesium and is designed for consumers seeking to support muscle health as part of their daily routine.
Consumers can mix the granules with 200ml of cold water for a fizzy drink, allow them to gradually dissolve in the mouth or chew them directly.
The company said the products are aimed primarily at younger, health-conscious consumers and plans to use influencer marketing to reach the target audience more quickly.
Blackmores currently offers more than 50 vitamin and dietary supplement SKUs for consumers across different age groups. Immune-support products and fish oil supplements account for the largest share of its vitamin and supplement sales, together holding a 50% market share, according to the company.
Following an aggressive marketing strategy, Blackmores Thailand is targeting 18.6% revenue growth this year. Revenue grew 16.8% year-on-year during the first half of 2026.
