Kui Buri elephants huddle under trees as rain pours down

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN — A herd of wild elephants in Kui Buri National Park was spotted taking shelter beneath large trees as rain fell over the forest, creating a heartwarming scene for nature lovers.

The Kui Buri National Park Facebook page shared photos of the elephants huddling beneath the leafy canopy amid the lush green forest after the rain.

“It’s raining… so let’s take shelter for a while,” the park said in a post accompanying the photos.

The images show the herd gathering under the shade of a large tree while rain falls around them, with the freshly washed forest providing a vivid green backdrop.

The park said rainy days in nature can still offer warm moments that bring smiles, adding: “The happiness of wildlife is nature’s reward.”

The photos quickly offered a gentle reminder that even in the middle of a downpour, wildlife has its own ways of finding comfort in the forest.
