SHANGHAI, China — Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul joined Chinese President Xi Jinping and senior leaders from around the world at the opening ceremony of the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai on Friday.
Speaking at the Shanghai World Reception Hall, Anutin delivered a keynote address under the theme “AI Partnership for a Brighter Future.”
The conference brought together heads of state, senior government officials, representatives of international organizations, business leaders and academics to discuss global cooperation in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
Xi presided over the opening ceremony of the annual event, one of China’s flagship forums on AI, with participants exploring ways to strengthen international collaboration and promote the responsible development of artificial intelligence.
Anutin is attending the conference as part of his official visit to China.
