NONTHABURI — 11 September 2026, Police have detained five people after a 24-year-old man was stabbed six times at a petrol station in Pak Kret district on Wednesday night.
The injured man, identified only as Sitthichok, was found at the station in Ban Mai subdistrict at about 20:00 on 10 September. He had knife wounds to his back, waist and arms, and was taken to Chollaprathan Hospital in Pak Kret in serious condition.
Police initially detained a 42-year-old station worker, identified only as Wichet, and his 16-year-old son, Bas. Officers seized a short knife and a folding knife.
Three other alleged participants were later detained: Aphisit, 24; Chaiwat, 21; and a 16-year-old identified as Pop.
What police are investigating
The five detainees told police that Sitthichok had allegedly arrived at the station twice and had a knife during the second encounter.
Police have not yet confirmed the sequence of events, announced charges, or released Sitthichok’s account.
The father’s account
Wichet said Sitthichok first arrived at the petrol station on a motorcycle to see his girlfriend, who works there.
He alleged that Sitthichok appeared intoxicated, started an argument and rode away. Wichet said he then called his son.
According to Wichet, Sitthichok later returned with a knife and chased him. Bas arrived at the station while bringing food for his father, he said, and became involved after seeing the incident.
Wichet said an argument followed before knives were used. He said the short knife was likely one his son had brought from home.
The son’s account
Bas said his father had called to say he had been chased and attacked with a knife.
Bas said he asked friends to accompany him, but they did not find the other party and he returned home.
Later, he said, he rode back to the station to bring food to his father and saw him being chased and attacked with a knife.
“Out of anger, I used the knife I was carrying to chase and stab the injured man,” Bas told police, according to the report.
Bas said he did not know Sitthichok and had never had a dispute with him. He said he did not know whether Sitthichok had any prior conflict with his father.
Colleague backs father’s account
Aphisit, who said he works with Wichet, told police that Sitthichok had earlier arrived at the station looking for trouble, prompting an argument before he left.
He alleged that Sitthichok later returned and slashed Wichet on the cheek with a knife. Aphisit said Bas arrived soon afterwards, saw his father had been injured and chased Sitthichok with a knife.
Aphisit said he did not know Sitthichok and had no previous dispute with him. He also alleged that Sitthichok had arrived aggressively on his motorcycle and loudly revved its engine, but said he could not confirm whether he was intoxicated.
Police took all five detainees to Pak Kret police station for questioning and further legal action.
