
CHONBURI — 8 August 2026, A 20-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a Chinese man to death inside an apartment in Sattahip district after finding him with his girlfriend.
Police arrested Thanachot, a 20-year-old student at a college in Chonburi, at around 9:50 after he fled toward Pattaya and later contacted police to surrender upon learning that the Chinese man had died.
Thanachot reportedly had a cut wound on his abdomen when he surrendered.
During initial questioning, Thanachot told police that he had worked overnight as a security guard at an entertainment venue in Pattaya before returning in the morning to his girlfriend’s apartment.
He said he opened the room and found an unfamiliar man lying on the bed. He allegedly confronted the man while holding a knife to intimidate him.

According to Thanachot, the Chinese man tried to grab the knife and allegedly attempted to attack him. The two then struggled and choked each other before Thanachot regained control of the knife and stabbed the man.
He claimed he did not intend to kill him before fleeing toward Pattaya. He later decided to surrender after learning that the Chinese man had died.
Police have charged Thanachot with intentional murder and are continuing their investigation.
The victim was identified as Cao Ke, 20, a Chinese national. Authorities are checking his information and attempting to locate his relatives.
Investigators will question witnesses and examine forensic evidence to establish exactly what happened inside the apartment before proceeding with the case.
