CHONBURI — 10 October 2026, Police have obtained arrest warrants for five suspects in an armed robbery at a luxury home belonging to a Turkish businessman in Chonburi, where valuables worth more than 37 million baht were stolen. All five suspects have reportedly left Thailand, prompting police to coordinate with Chinese authorities and seek Interpol Red Notices to track them down.
Police Region 2 announced the latest developments on 10 October 2026, following the robbery at the CASCADE BY PATTA housing estate in Nong Prue, Bang Lamung district, in the early hours of 6 October.
At around 03:30, three men dressed in black and wearing face coverings allegedly broke into the residence armed with guns and knives. They threatened and assaulted the occupants before handcuffing Turkish businessman Kutay Aslan, 34, and a Myanmar national working as a cleaner.
The suspects allegedly stole 824,000 USDT in cryptocurrency, 210,000 baht in cash, five Rolex watches and four mobile phones. The total loss was estimated at approximately 37 million baht.
Following the robbery, investigators reviewed CCTV footage along suspected escape routes and found a Toyota Fortuner believed to be connected to the case abandoned in Soi Jomtien 9 in Pattaya.
Police seized 14 pieces of evidence, including balaclavas, gloves, clothing, shoes and an aluminium ladder, for forensic examination.

Investigators also examined witness statements, vehicle GPS data, car and house rental records, hotel accommodation details and immigration records. They compared descriptions of clothing worn by the suspects with items recovered during the investigation.
The investigation identified five suspects: Dong Ping, 38, who allegedly arranged vehicle and accommodation rentals for the group; Lixinle, 31; Wang Hongbo, 32; Mu Hongda, 33; and Zhiyu Wang, 31.
On 9 October, investigators submitted evidence to the Pattaya Provincial Court, which approved arrest warrants Nos. 570–574/2569 for all five suspects.
The suspects face allegations including armed nighttime robbery in a dwelling, causing physical or mental harm, unlawful detention and firearms-related offences.
However, checks of their travel records indicated that all five had already left Thailand. Police are coordinating with the Chinese Embassy and following procedures to request Interpol Red Notices to facilitate international efforts to locate the suspects and bring them back to face prosecution in Thailand.
Investigators are also tracing the movement of the stolen assets, particularly the cryptocurrency valued at tens of millions of baht, as well as the watches and other valuables. Police are continuing to examine whether additional people were involved.
Police Region 2 said investigators had gathered sufficient evidence to obtain arrest warrants for all five suspects within three days of the robbery. Authorities pledged to continue working with domestic and international agencies to arrest the suspects and recover the stolen property.
