CHON BURI — A 27-year-old noodle vendor in Chon Buri has drawn attention online after being seen bringing her 11-month-old baby along as she rides a motorcycle sidecar to sell noodles at markets and outside factories.
The woman, identified as Meena, lives in Phanat Nikhom district and regularly sells noodles at Panan Market in Phan Thong district. After finishing at the market at about 15:00, she moves to locations outside nearby factories before heading home at around 17:00.
She usually brings her baby with her on Saturdays and Sundays, when her husband is at work. She said having her child with her allows her to earn a living while staying close to the baby.
A video posted by the Facebook page Khao Ded Chon Buri Phetchakhat Khao showed Meena riding her modified motorcycle sidecar, with her baby sitting behind her and secured with a long-sleeved shirt tied around her waist.
The video drew messages of support and encouragement from social media users.
Meena sells several types of noodles, including tom yum, nam tok and clear broth. She also accepts outside catering orders for events, with prices and arrangements available by agreement.
