Thammasat Engineering marks 30 years of International Programmes with TEP-TEPE CONNECT, uniting alumni and global partners

Bangkok, 3 October 2026 – The Thammasat School of Engineering, is holding “TEP-TEPE CONNECT 30th Anniversary” on 3 October 2026 at Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok to mark 30 years of the TEP-TEPE programmes. The event brings together prospective students, current students, alumni, staff and partner universities from abroad through a programme introduction, an academic forum and a Grand Reunion.

Held under the theme “TEP-TEPE CONNECT”, the event includes admissions information, engineering activities and the chance to meet current students and alumni, giving prospective applicants a closer look at the TEP-TEPE programmes and the study pathways they offer in engineering.

The programme opens with the performance “30 Years of Engineering Harmony”. Professor Dr. Sanya Mitaim, Dean of the Thammasat School of Engineering, will then welcome guests and introduce the TEP-TEPE programmes, followed by the official opening by Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Rector of Thammasat University.

A highlight of the event is the congratulatory messages from the faculty’s international partner universities: the University of Nottingham (United Kingdom), UNSW Sydney (Australia) and KU Leuven (Belgium). Their participation reflects the international academic partnerships that TEP-TEPE throughout the history.

The event also features TEP Talk, themed “Global-Mindset Engineers Against an Uncertain World”, which looks at the role of engineers and engineering education in a changing world, with speakers from education, economics, industry and energy.

TEP Talk sessions include “Engineering Education and Thailand’s Future” by Professor Dr. Suejit Pechprasarn, Dean of the Graduate School, Rangsit University; “New Industrial Policy for Thailand’s Economy” by Dr. Nopparuj Chindasombatcharoen, Research Fellow at TDRI; and “Thailand’s Energy Strategic Planning and Sustainability” by Mr. Sirichai Jirapongphan of PTT Public Company Limited.

In addition, Mrs. Petchaporn Cherngwiwatkij, Mrs. Thailand World 2026, Edu-preneur and Content Creator, will speak on “I DON’T KNOW… YET., Preparing for an Unpredictable Future”, sharing ideas on preparing for a future that is hard to predict. The event closes with a TEP-TEPE Admission 2027 session and an open Q&A for prospective applicants.

TEP-TEPE CONNECT 30th Anniversary celebrates three decades since the programmes were founded, and also connects the next generation of students with current students, alumni, staff and academic partners from several countries, opening a discussion on the future of engineering education and how engineers can prepare for the years ahead.
