BANGKOK — A 52-year-old Malaysian man died aboard a plane while making a transit stop in Bangkok before continuing his journey to Hokkaido, Japan, according to Malaysian news website Kosmo.com.my.
The man was identified as Hamisi Mohammad Noor, who was travelling with colleagues for a holiday in Hokkaido. The incident occurred on 10 August.
A video of the incident, posted by the Mr Wan Cai Official account, showed cabin crew attempting to assist Noor on board the aircraft.
One commenter, who said he was a close friend of Noor, said the incident occurred as the group was preparing to leave the aircraft during the transit stop in Bangkok before continuing to Hokkaido.
The friend’s comment also said arrangements had been made to transport Noor’s body from Bangkok back to Malaysia, where funeral rites would be conducted according to his religious traditions.
The circumstances surrounding Noor’s death were not immediately clear.
