Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) today officially began its participation in Gastech 2026 as a National Consortium Partner, marking the first day of the world’s largest and most influential exhibition and conference dedicated to natural gas, LNG, low-carbon technologies, power generation systems and AI for the energy sector. Now in its 54th edition, Gastech returns to Thailand for the first time in 18 years, taking place at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna, from 14–17 September 2026. This year’s opening ceremony welcomed energy leaders and policymakers from around the world, with more than 50,000 attendees from over 150 countries taking part in the event.
GULF’s participation on opening day reaffirms its position as Thailand’s leading energy and infrastructure conglomerate, under the overarching theme “Integrated Infrastructure, Powering Tomorrow” — a vision that unites a strong foundation in energy security, the accelerated expansion of clean energy, and the advancement of digital and AI infrastructure to support long-term economic growth for Thailand and the wider region.
Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi, Chief Executive Officer, Gulf Development Public Company Limited, said, “Thailand’s role as host of Gastech this year is a testament to investors’ confidence in the country, particularly in the energy sector. As the world transitions toward cleaner energy, natural gas remains central to power system security — especially as electricity demand accelerates alongside the rapid growth of data centers. We would like to see the government establish clear policies on zoning and the promotion of clean energy, ensuring these developments deliver genuine economic value. GULF has recently partnered with Singtel on a submarine cable project that will help lower the cost of AI data processing and strengthen Thailand’s competitiveness within the region. I believe Thailand’s economic outlook is improving, driven by government stimulus policies that are building confidence among foreign investors. GULF remains committed to long-term investment in the power business, while expanding into data centers and digital infrastructure, to help drive Thailand’s growth and competitiveness on the regional stage.”
Throughout the four-day event, GULF is showcasing the strength of its business group through the GULF Pavilion (Booth No. C80), spanning more than 420 square metres. The pavilion features the ecosystem showcase, illustrating the connectivity across GULF’s four core businesses — energy, natural gas resources, ports and logistics, and digital and telecommunications — alongside an immersive zone offering a 360-degree visual experience that takes visitors on a journey from a secure energy foundation to becoming a driver of the new economy.
Built on three strategic pillars, GULF is anchoring energy security through end-to-end natural gas and LNG infrastructure; accelerating sustainable power by expanding its renewable energy portfolio in pursuit of its Net Zero goal; and scaling infrastructure at the speed of AI by advancing digital infrastructure, data centres and AI capabilities to support investment from leading global technology companies — directions closely aligned with this year’s Gastech focus on the convergence of energy, power systems and AI.
GULF cordially invites industry partners, business stakeholders, media, and technology leaders to visit the GULF Pavilion (Stand No. C80) at Gastech 2026, taking place from September 14–17, 2026, at BITEC Bangna, Bangkok.
