BANGKOK — After a long stormy night, Bangkok woke Tuesday morning to find rush hour turned to slush hour on crippled roads.
Traffic was reportedly still miserable on some flooded portions of Ratchadaphisek, Lat Phrao, Phaholyothin and Nawamin roads as of late Tuesday morning, with more rain on the way to further soak 70 percent of the city.
Instead of his usual post-flood truck ride, Bangkok Gov. Sukhumbhand Paribatra was up to his knees in the stuff, photographed by his publicists in Ratchadaphisek Road this morning where he surveyed the flooding.
