Bruno Mars Confirmed for April Show in Bangkok

BANGKOK — It’s confirmed: The “Uptown Funk” singer is returning to Bangkok after Songkran.

Concert promoter BEC-Tero fanned the hype Thursday morning by announcing that American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars will play Bangkok in April as part of his 24K Magic World Tour.

Tickets for the concert start at 3,500 baht and go on sale Nov. 4 at ThaiTicketMajor.com and its store branches.

Mars last visited Thailand in March 2014 on his Moonshine Jungle Tour. Born and raised in Honolulu, the artist born Peter Gene Hernandez broke into stardom in 2009 with singles “Nothin’ on You” and “Billionaire.” Subsequent hits such as “Just the Way You Are,” “Grenade,” “Treasure” and the unavoidable “Uptown Funk,” have become ubiquitous radio replays with cemented earworm status.
