BANGKOK — A white Mercedes sedan was seen driving against traffic on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road in Bangkok, alarming motorists as it travelled the wrong way along a busy four-lane road near the Lad Phrao intersection.
The incident occurred on 7 September 2026 on the inbound side of Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, along the frontage road in front of Horwang School and before the Lad Phrao five-way intersection.
Video footage circulating online showed the white Mercedes approaching from the opposite direction while other vehicles were travelling normally in their lanes.
The incident caused concern and confusion among motorists, with many questioning how the vehicle had entered the wrong side of the road.
A TikTok user posted footage of the incident, captioning it: “What is going on? What happened? Driving against traffic on a four-lane road before the Lad Phrao five-way intersection. Where did he come from? He drove the wrong way for a very long distance. Everyone was shocked.”
The video quickly drew comments and criticism from social media users, with many expressing concern over the potential danger posed to other motorists.
The circumstances that led the Mercedes to enter the wrong side of the road were not immediately clear from the footage.
