BANGKOK — 17 October 2026, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has shared a video of himself serving longan juice to customers and foreign tourists at a Bangkok market, encouraging visitors to try more Thai drinks beyond the traditional iced black coffee known as “oliang.”
In a Facebook post Anutin posted footage showing him helping a female vendor scoop longan juice into cups for customers, including foreign tourists.
“Apart from Iced Black Coffee ‘O-LIANG’, the ‘Longan-Juice’ is also worth to try when you walk by Bangkok’s market places,” he wrote.
In the video, the vendor can be heard telling customers, “The prime minister is giving these out, everyone. He’s very kind.”
