Pagoda Chinese Restaurant, contemporary Cantonese Chinese restaurant at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, Bangkok’s largest five-star hotel, treats dim sum lovers with more than 30 menus of dim sum and Chinese style barbecue by two renowned chefs from China. Chef Daniel Zhao was from Jiangsu in the middle of China. He started off learning how to cook from his mother and moved to Shanghai to pursue his dream to become a dim sum chef when he was 19. His signature dish is soup dumpling with delicate, thin skin and tasty soup inside, which is also served at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant.
Chef Fan came from a city of gastronomy, Guangzhou. At the age of 16, chef Fan started his culinary journey in the barbecue kitchen. His tireless attempts, series of experiments and training earned him award from Guangzhou cooking competition and a gold medal from the Asian Food Festive.
More than 30 dim sum items will be served at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant. Among them are steamed pork soup dumplings, steamed crabmeat and pork soup dumplings, barbecue Hong Kong style Peking duck and Pagoda’s signature, honey glazed barbecue pork. The chefs also team up to create new sensational menus such as steamed prawn dumplings, garlic and chive and, steam scallop soup dumpling in superior soup, Cantonese style barbecue pork puff, Cantonese style honey glazed pork ribs with black pepper sauce, herbaceous and perfumed soy sauce chicken, crispy roasted suckling pig with shredded shrimp where the skin is crispy and the filling is well seasoned. Sweet menus include steamed custard buns and baked pineapple custard buns or bo lo bao that will surely delight Chinese food lovers.
