BANGKOK — Hoarders better clear last year’s book pile because in August, a massive new dump of discount texts is coming back to Bangkok.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale returns to town for a third year with millions of books – a million more this year, organizers say – from fiction and biographies to how-to covers and heavy encyclopedias.
All books are in English and will be discounted up 60 percent to 80 percent. Carts and baskets will be provided at the event for shoppers.
Admission is free. The book selection will be posted online.
The warehouse book sale will run 24 hours daily from Aug. 10 through Aug. 20 in Hall 9 (Impact Forum) at Impact Muang Thong Thani. It can be reached by taxi or Impact Link van from BTS Mo Chit exit No. 4 and MRT Chatuchak Park exit No. 3.
Big Bad Wolf Book Sale was founded by a book-loving couple Andrew Yap and Jacqueline Ng. It first took place in 2009 in Malaysia before coming to Thailand for the first time in 2016 with two million books.
