Watch 12 Boys and Coach Thank World (Video)

CHIANG RAI — The 12 boys and their coach are starting to speak, and in a new clip they thank everyone who had a part in saving their lives as well as the people of the world for their support.

Footage released by the Chiangrai Prachanukroh Hospital Saturday morning shows the 13 – 12 boys and their coach – address the public for the first time since their rescue earlier this week. They thanked the rescuers, divers, volunteers and, well, everyone.

“Thank you everyone for your support, and those who come from around the world to help me,” 13-year-old Sompong Jaiwong says in the three and a half minute clip from his bed.

Adul Sam-on, who became known for his English-speaking ability when the group was first located by British divers, showed the camera his drawings of the “Wild Boars” football team.

He spoke to the camera in English, too.

“Hello. I’m Adul. Now I’m very fine. I’m very thank you so carefully,” Adul says in English. “Thank you so much.”

Despite their medical treat with hospital food at the moment, the boys and the coach said they want moo krob, barbecued pork, steak and sushi.

“Hi, I’m nong Titan. My health is getting better,” Chanin “Titan” Wiboonrungrueng says to the camera. “I want sushi!”
