Immerse yourself in mosaic art at Museum Siam, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy, invites you to experience the asian tour exhibition “MOSAICO – Italian Code of a Timeless Art,” now on view until June 25, 2024.

The National Discovery Museum Institute (NDMI) in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Bangkok will present MOSAICO Italian Code of a Timeless Art exhibition, it is part of the ongoing collaboration between NDMI and the Embassy of Italy in Bangkok to promote cultural exchange between the two countries and stimulate learning and understanding of diverse cultures through exhibitions and educational activities.

“Mosaic” is considered a masterpiece of craftsmanship that has been passed down in Italy for more than 2,000 years, spanning the entire country from north to south over a distance of more than 1,500 kilometers.

The exhibition “Mosaico” aims to take viewers on a unique journey through 7 zones across 8 cities; Rome, Pompeii, Aquileia, Ravenna, Palermo / Monreal , Piazza Armerina and Baiae, offering an unprecedented experience. The exhibition will present through multimedia and invites you to experience an exquisite mosaic masterpiece.

Using Multimedia Immersive techniques, it will captivate you with the beauty of the patterns while providing insights into the shapes, gestures, and materials used to create these unique Italian mosaic arts. You will also decode the craftsmanship that has inspired Roman artisans and contemporary artists to create timeless works of art.

This exhibition showcases artworks from the Farnesina Collection, a compilation of contemporary Italian artworks from the 20th and 21st centuries, curated and preserved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy. These works serve as a significant foundation for shaping art and cultural policies in the country, fostering cultural exchange and understanding.

In addition, there are many educational activities accompanying the exhibition such as Mosaic wall making with recycle materials is the use of waste materials decorative artwork around the exhibition. The immersive exhibition MOSAICOItalian code of a timeless art will show at the Multipurpose Room, Museum Siam. You can travel by subway (MRT) and get off at Sanam Chai Station, Exit 1. Interested visitors can visit from today until June 25, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Closed on Monday)
