BANGKOK — Get dance-floor-ready as a disco-funk duo in elegant outfits drops its beats in the city.

Grammy-nominated soul-pop singer Mayer Hawthorne and hip-hop producer Jake One, or Tuxedo, will perform in Bangkok for the first time in August.

Influenced by disco-funk music from the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, the production pair is known for their songs “Do It” and “Number One” – the latter, inspired by rapper Snoop Dogg’s “Ain’t No Fun,” received wide acclaim.

Tickets are available online for 2,200 baht. The event will take place Aug. 23 at SRP5 Studio, a recently opened live music venue located on Soi Ramkhamhaeng 32 Yaek 4. Doors will open at 5pm.
