CHIANG RAI — Singha Park Chiang Rai is set to host Southeast Asia’s largest hot air balloon festival, featuring over 30 balloons from 13 countries during February 13-17, 2025. The seventh annual International Balloon Fiesta will combine aerial spectacles with cultural performances and music concerts.
The festival’s highlight includes a Valentine’s Day “Balloon Love” event where 15 selected couples will take romantic flights over Chiang Rai’s landscape. A balloon competition offering 100,000 baht ($3,000) in prize money will also take place alongside nightly light and sound shows.

“This is the largest balloon festival in ASEAN, placing Chiang Rai on the map for balloon aeronauts and enthusiasts,” said Pongrat Luangthamrongcharoen, Managing Director of Singha Park Chiang Rai. “We aim to boost tourism and generate revenue through these activities.”
A special cultural program features a large-scale outdoor Khon performance by 160 Wang Na artists and local youth on February 14-15. The festival will also showcase prominent Thai artists including BODYSLAM, MILLI, and BOWKYLION across five days of concerts.
New to this year’s event is “Chiang Rai Brewtopia,” a specialty coffee showcase. Additional activities include farm tours, flower field visits, and adventure activities like ATV riding and zip-lining.
Early bird tickets are available at balloonfiesta25 until February 9, priced at 280 baht for a one-day pass and 1,250 baht for a five-day pass, with regular-priced tickets available during the event. For more information, please visit Facebook Singha Park Chiang Rai
