Photo: British Tabloids Apologize For Calling Hmong Girls ‘Tiny Thieves’

Chiang Mai Gov. Pawin Chamniprasart poses with two young Hmong girls at a meeting between their family and representatives from the British Consulate on Tuesday at Chiang Mai City Hall. The diplomats were there to deliver letters of apology from British tabloids including The Sun, The Daily Mail and The Telegraph for branding the girls thieves and wrongly reporting they stolen a watch from an unidentified British tourist in September.
