
Cambodian Senate President Hun Sen has congratulated Cambodia’s national ITF Taekwon-Do team after it won a total of 41 medals at the 11th Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
However, the tournament is not recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Hun Sen posted the message on Facebook, saying:
“Congratulations to Cambodia for winning a total of 41 medals at the 11th Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships in Mongolia.
“The 11th Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships was held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from 3 to 9 August 2026. The event concluded successfully and impressively, marking a historic achievement.
“The Cambodian national Taekwon-Do team delivered an outstanding performance, bringing home a total of 41 medals for the country: eight gold, 12 silver and 21 bronze.”
The 11th Asian ITF Taekwon-Do Championships brought together athletes from 67 countries across Asia.
However, the tournament is not recognised by the IOC.
