HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya Presides Over the “Equestrian Rising Star Awards Night 2020” to Present Accolades to Outstanding Riders and Receive Best of the Best Award

Every year, Thailand Equestrian Federation is hosting an internationally recognized equestrian competition, Princess Cup Thailand, to promote and elevate Thai equestrian sport to the international level as well as equip Thai riders and related personnel in the scene with more skills and talents. The most recent event, Princess’s Cup Thailand 2019, once again had the honor of HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya as president and policy giver for the competition, allowing the event to conclude with great success and acclaim just as the previous years.

As customary at the end of the competition, a gala dinner was in order at the lavish Equestrian Rising Star Awards Night, held specifically to celebrate and present awards to outstanding riders in the competition. This year’s event was held on 9 February 2020 at The Grand Ballroom of Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok.

The evening saw HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya presiding over the award ceremony where she presented 5 trophies for the winners of Princess’s Cup Thailand 2019 and 8 Best of the Year awards as follow:

The Equestrian Rising Star Awards Night was joined by a string of social elites and equestrian icons of Thailand. Among the guests were Pipat Ratchakitprakan, the minister of tourism and sports; Dr. Harald Link, president of B.Grimm and president of Thailand Equestrian Federation; Thanawat Phoomisakha, representative of Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok along with other guests that came together to enjoy the celebration and to create yet another lasting memory.

In this occasion, HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya allowed Dr. Harald Link, president of Thailand Equestrian Federation, to present Best of the Best plaque to honor HRH’s outstanding performances and recognize HRH’s perseverance to gain reputation for Thai equestrian. Recently, HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya led the national team of Thai riders to win gold medal (team dressage) from the prestigious FEI Asian Championships Pattaya 2019.

It was another successful and memorable Princess Cup Thailand and Equestrian Rising Star Awards Night that did not only promote equestrian to the wider public but also encourage Thai adults and youths to participate in the sport, and further strengthen Thai equestrian in the international level in the future.
