Charoen Pokphand Group, in collaboration with Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods), True Corporation Public Company Limited (True), and CP All Public Company Limited (CP All) recently donated foods, True’s SIM cards, and other essentials to medical staffs working at Nimibutr’s COVID-19 field hospital in Bangkok.
2,100 packs of ready-to-eat meals were given by CP Foods. Meanwhile, CP All donated 1,000 gallons of alcohol-based sanitizers and 2,500 pieces of face mask. True also provided SIM cards for the medical team working at Nimibutr Stadium.
The hand-over ceremony was attended by Dr. Thanin Wechapinan, Director of Prasat Neurological Institute, and Dr. Niwat Limsukniran, Director General for Department of Physical Education; Asst. Prof. Dr. Suphet Tuipae, Director of Bureau of Medical System Supervision; Prasit Boondoungprasert, Chief Executive Officer of CP Foods; and representatives from True and CP All.
Nimibutr stadium is now serving as a 200-bed field hospital for mild symptom and asymptomatic cases. It is operated by Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health, with a support from Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Tourism & Sports.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Suphet Tuipae, director of the Medical System Supervision Bureau, gives thanks to CP Group for a helping hand, adding that the essential goods and SIM cards from CP Group will help accelerate the work at the field hospital as well as boosting the staff’s morale. Dr. Niwat Limsukniran also praises CP Group’s effort to aid medical workers who dedicated themselves in the time of crisis.
CP Foods CEO Prasit added that CP Foods has been providing safe and high-quality foods for medical workers at the frontline against the pandemic under the project so-called “CPF Food from the Heart against COVID-19” program since early 2020.
The donation was initiated by the guidance from of CP Group Senior Chairman, Dhanin Chearavanont that pledged to support medical staffs’ works in the care and prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak with the 200-million baht worth budget. CP Group currently supports a total number of 88 hospitals nationwide.
