Bangkok, Thailand, 18 February 2020 – Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park is officially the leader in MICE business in ASEAN as it recently won ASEAN Tourism Awards (category: 2nd ASEAN MICE Venue Standards) by the prestigious ASEAN MICE Venue Standard (AMVS).
Since its establishment, Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park has maintained its top position as the leader in MICE business in Thailand and the Asean region. The property also received prestigious local, regional and international awards. Most recently, Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park was awarded ASEAN Tourism Awards category: 2nd ASEAN MICE Venue Standards at the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2020. ASEAN MICE Venue Standards (AMVS) is an accreditation developed by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and certified by ASEAN Community Councils which is divided into two categories: Meeting and Seminar Venue and Exhibition Venue. Throughout ASEAN, there are more 100 venues and establishments that are accredited with AMVS standard, and 53 of which are located in Thailand, making Thailand the country with most accredited venues in ASEAN. TCEB estimates that within the next five years, there will be more than 500 venues with AMVS accreditation throughout ASEAN, allowing the Asean Connectivity to prosper and benefit each other sustainably in the future.
At ATF 2020, five venues with the highest score received ASEAN Tourism Awards category: 2nd ASEAN MICE Venue Standards with Bangkok Marriott Queen’s Park ranking the top of the list.
