UDON THANI — A father has filed a police complaint alleging that the owner of a tutoring school in Udon Thani assaulted his 15-year-old son, forced him to use cannabis and made him pose for photographs with suspected illegal items.
The 34-year-old father, from Nong Bua Lamphu, filed the complaint at Udon Thani City Police Station at 15:59 on Saturday. He said he would pursue the case to the fullest extent of the law.
According to the complaint, the incident took place at about 15:52 on 14 August in Muang district.
The father alleged that the owner of a well-known military-preparatory-school tutoring centre forced his son to smoke cannabis, made him point at items connected to alleged wrongdoing for photographs, and then took him to the police.
The teenager said he had been spending time with friends when the school owner and two others entered the room and accused them of using cannabis.
“They suddenly came into the room and said we had used cannabis,” the boy said. “I was very shocked. They then forced us to point at the cannabis for photographs and took us to the police station.”
He denied using cannabis, and claimed the cannabis belonged to other students from the tutoring school, rather than him or his friends.
Police have accepted the complaint and said they would gather evidence and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to question the child and others involved. The tutoring-school owner will then be summoned for questioning.
Police said further legal action would depend on the outcome of the investigation.
