CANCELED: Clean Bandit to Rocka-by Bangkok in August

Update Aug. 21: The concert was canceled due to the illness of the band’s member Grace Chatto, announced promoter Bec-Tero Entertainment.

BANGKOK — An English trio responsible for smash dance hit “Rockabye,” will head to the capital in August.

Best known for their fusion crossover of electronic, dance pop and classical tunes, Cambridge-based trio Clean Bandit announced online Friday morning that they would be holding their first gig in Bangkok.

The concert will take place Aug. 22 at Impact Exhibition Hall 1, Muang Thong Thani. Tickets start at 1,900 baht and will go on sale from June 9 via ThaiTicketMajor.

Clean Bandit started as a string quartet. It was formed in 2008 by musicians Grace Chatto, Jack Patterson, Luke Patterson and Neil Amin-Smith. Their best known songs include “Rockabye” – which features rapper Sean Paul and singer Anne-Marie – “Rather Be,” and “Mozart’s House.”
