BANGKOK — 19 September 2026, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Her Majesty Queen Suthida on Saturday attended a royal merit-making ceremony marking 100 days for the remains of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarini Siribajra Mahavajrarajadhida.
The ceremony was held at the Phiman Rattaya Throne Hall in the Grand Palace.
The King and Queen arrived by royal vehicle at 10:12.
Also accompanying them were His Royal Highness Prince Dipangkorn Rasmijoti and Thanphuying Sineenat Bilaskalyani.
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana and Thanphuying Sirikitiya Jensen were present to receive the King and Queen at the throne hall.
Upon arrival, the King lit incense and candles at a two-tier gold offering tray before the Buddha image associated with Princess Bajrakitiyabha’s day of birth before taking his seat.
The Supreme Patriarch then administered the precepts, followed by 10 monks chanting blessings.
The King presented food offerings to the Supreme Patriarch and senior monks. The Queen then offered 10 sets of robes to the monks for the chanting of the Abhidhamma.
The King and Queen subsequently poured water as an act of dedication, after which the monks offered blessings and formally took leave.
Eleven monks from a total of 47 monks, corresponding to the Princess’s age, were then invited to sit on the monks’ seats and chant the Matika.
The Queen offered 11 sets of robes during the first round, followed by further offerings in subsequent rounds. The ceremony continued until three rounds had been completed.
The King then paid respects before the Buddha image associated with the Princess’s day of birth and lit incense and candles at the pearl-inlaid offering trays before the beds where monks were scheduled to chant the Abhidhamma on the eastern and western sides of the Phiman Rattaya Throne Hall.
The King and Queen then proceeded to Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall, where they paid respects to the remains of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.
After the ceremony, the King and Queen returned by royal vehicle.
