YG Entertainment will hold an audition in Thailand this November as the K-pop powerhouse searches for new talent to follow in the footsteps of Thai stars Lisa of BLACKPINK and Pharita and Chiquita of BABYMONSTER.
The agency announced that its audition will take place in Bangkok on 7-8 November. Applicants born between 2008 and 2015 are eligible to apply, regardless of gender or nationality.
Candidates can choose one category in which they are most confident: singing, rap, dance, visual or acting.
Online pre-registration will open on 1 September. Further details about the audition will be announced later through YG’s official audition website and social media channels.
Thailand has continued to play an influential role in the global K-pop market, particularly with Thai artists such as Lisa, Pharita and Chiquita achieving international success and helping drive the genre’s worldwide popularity.
The upcoming audition is therefore expected to attract significant interest from aspiring performers hoping to pursue careers in the global K-pop industry.
