BANGKOK — Glowing powders will be showered on runners for a colorful spectacle on a night in June at the forthcoming Blacklight Run.
Run through the Bangkok night at the 5K fun run at which UV glow powders in pink, green and orange will be sprayed through blacklight zones set up along the route.
After the run, dance to music from international DJs and performers along with more glow powder, LED gifts and freebies. The powder is said to be 100 percent natural and non-toxic.
With a mission to spread awareness about childhood cancer, the Blacklight Run started in 2013 in the United States and has since spread to more than 20 cities worldwide.
Standard entry includes a t-shirt, bag and bib for 700 baht. VIP tickets are 1,400 baht, and include LED shutter shades, rings, glowing shoelaces and a baton. Children under 5 years old can join the run for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

The Blacklight Run will start at 8:45pm on June 17, after parties at 5pm and 8pm, at Airport Rail Link Makkasan.
