KRABI — A 25-year-old Irish national wanted by Irish authorities on multiple criminal charges has been arrested in Krabi Province after overstaying his visa by 415 days, immigration police announced.
The arrest occurred during an intensive crackdown on foreign criminals and visa overstayers conducted by immigration police between June 19-25. The suspect, identified only as “Mr. E,” was apprehended on June 25 outside Breaking Bad Budz shop in Sai Thai Subdistrict, Mueang District, Krabi Province.
Prior to the arrest, undercover investigators from Krabi Immigration Office conducted surveillance on the Irish suspect. When Mr. E. was spotted entering the shop, officers revealed themselves and requested identification documents, which confirmed his 415-day visa violation. He was subsequently transferred to Mueang Krabi Police Station for processing.

Police Colonel Sorathat Iamla-or, Chief of Krabi Immigration Office, revealed that Irish police had requested assistance in locating Mr. E. to face prosecution under orders from Ireland’s Director of Public Prosecutions on multiple serious charges including: violent disorder and assault, drug trafficking (cocaine), money laundering, and unlawful detention of children and women.
The suspect is also under investigation for additional offenses allegedly committed between 2023-2024 before arriving in Thailand, including drug possession, theft, traffic violations, escape from custody, stalking and harassment, failure to comply with police orders, possession of knives or potential weapons, and unauthorized mobile phone use while in detention.
Krabi Immigration Office has appealed to the public for information regarding foreign nationals involved in criminal activities, particularly drug cases, illegal entry, overstays, or activities threatening national security. Tips can be reported to the Immigration Office hotline at 1178.
