Scottish man reported missing while travelling in Thailand

BANGKOK — A Scottish man has been reported missing in Thailand after losing contact with his family earlier this month, relatives said.

Mr. Robertson has been reported as found and safe according to a reportedly close friend of his.

Kenny Robertson, 58, was last heard from on 5 January, when he contacted family members from Bangkok Airport. A brief email was later sent to a friend on 8 January, but he has not been seen or heard from since.

His family said Robertson was travelling alone in Thailand and that it was completely out of character for him to go this long without contacting loved ones.

Relatives said Robertson had planned to travel independently for several weeks before volunteering at a dog sanctuary, but the organisation has not received any communication from him.

The disappearance has been formally reported to authorities.

Robertson is 5 feet 6 inches (167 cm) tall and holds Scottish nationality.
