Drones deliver food to residents trapped by Bangkok floods

Two large transport drones are being used to deliver food and emergency supplies to residents trapped by severe flooding in Bangkok’s Kheha Rom Klao community, where some areas are difficult for boats to reach.

Deputy Prime Minister and Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Minister Yodchanan Wongsawat said six drones are being deployed in the operation. Four smaller drones are being used to survey flooded areas and assess the situation, while two larger drones, capable of carrying up to 80 kilogrammes, are delivering supplies using 20-metre cables.
