AIS Academy has officially opened “AIS ACADEMY for THAIs 2026,” a major AI conference held under the theme “MASTERING AI BEYOND BORDERS.” The event brings together the public and private sectors, educational institutions, and leading global technology partners to address a critical question: How can Thailand turn AI into tangible outcomes?
The event also sets out a roadmap for AI readiness across individuals, organizations, cities, and the national ecosystem, with the aim of transforming AI into a powerful force that strengthens Thailand’s competitiveness and creates new opportunities for Thai people. The event is being held at Samyan Mitrtown Hall.
Ms. Kantima Lerlertyuttitham, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Corporate Officer at AIS, said, “AIS believes that sustainable organizational growth can only be achieved when it progresses alongside Thai society, the economy, and the people. AIS ACADEMY for THAIs 2026 brings together more than 30 leading speakers to share perspectives and practical approaches to generating real-world results from AI. The event focuses on three critical transitions encompassing organizational transformation, workforce development, and cross-sector collaboration to advance Thailand:
- From individual AI adoption to organization-wide transformation: Organizations must begin with clearly defined challenges and desired outcomes, while ensuring that their data, people, and work processes are ready to support effective AI adoption.
- From learning how to use AI tools to building future-ready skills: As AI tools continue to evolve rapidly, Thai people need to develop analytical thinking, effective questioning, data-driven decision-making, creativity, and responsible technology use.
- From fragmented efforts to a connected national AI ecosystem: Thailand must strengthen collaboration among the public sector, businesses, educational institutions, technology developers, and the public to expand access to AI knowledge and opportunities nationwide.
This year’s event kicked off with the **Final Innovation Pitching round of JUMP Thailand Hackathon 2026**, featuring 10 finalist teams selected from 603 teams comprising 2,504 participants from 67 educational institutions nationwide under the theme **“AI for the Future of Thai Education.” The winner was Team MAMO from Prince of Songkla University with “Wathasin,” an AI Speech Coach. The first runner-up was Team Rub Mao Kor Rueng from Prince of Songkla University with “BrailleBox,” while the second runner-up was Team MR. BOBO from Chulalongkorn University and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok with “DEAFIN Education.” The Popular Vote Award went to Team TLDR from Khon Kaen University with its “LearnLy” platform.
Under the challenge “AI for the Future of Thai Education: Artificial Intelligence for the Future of Thai Education,” the competition provides a platform for young innovators to harness AI in designing solutions that enhance learning, expand access to education, and address real-world challenges faced by teachers and students.
The first day also features the Thailand AI Readiness stage, bringing together leaders from the public and private sectors, cities, and organizations specializing in innovation and learning. The sessions explore Thailand’s readiness across multiple dimensions—from transforming the country through AI and reshaping the way people work to creating new opportunities, examining AI’s role in urban life, and identifying how Thai organizations must adapt to thrive in the age of artificial intelligence.
On the second day, the program expands into AI Ready Business and AI Ready Skills, featuring real-world case studies of how AI can deliver measurable business outcomes, practical starting points for SMEs, preparations for the continued evolution of AI and AGI, and the future skills required to navigate a rapidly changing world of work. The program also covers design, creativity, and approaches to equipping Thai people with the capabilities needed for the future.
Participants can also gain hands-on experience through more than 20 Workshop and Masterclass sessions, together with AI Interactive Experiences presented by leading partners. These activities are designed to ensure that learning goes beyond listening, enabling participants to apply relevant ideas, tools, and use cases to their work, businesses, and everyday lives.
