SAMUT PRAKAN — Mr. Niti Roengjai, a 28-year-old Thai artist, has captured public attention with his impressive collection of robot costumes inspired by blockbuster Hollywood films.

The Megatron costume, which stands over 2 meters tall, has been drawing amazed crowds during exhibitions in Soi Rewat, Bang Mueang Subdistrict of Samut Prakan Province.

From Street Singer to Cosplay Artist

Niti reveals on March 3 that he was once a street performer, singing for tips. When he began experiencing vocal problems, he redirected his creative energy toward cosplay, a passion he had always harbored.

“This costume, I created it myself in about 1 month, working intensely. Some days I barely slept. I wear it for events and performances, or if I’m not booked for a job, I’ll wear it and walk around on my own, showcasing it in places like Yaowarat and Sukhumvit,” he said.

His journey began with smaller projects like Iron Man costumes before gradually developing his skills. He taught himself about materials, painting techniques, and structural design through internet resources and cosplay communities.

Craftsmanship and Collection

Each robot costume represents a month-long labor of love, crafted from aluminum, steel, foam, and rubber. Niti’s lineup already includes fan favorites like Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Iron Man, and Mecha Godzilla.
