PATTAYA — Thai Immigration Police have apprehended a 27-year-old Israeli national wanted for a violent assault in Tel Aviv, following a coordinated operation in Pattaya on February 3, 2025.

The suspect, identified only as “T” for legal reasons, was arrested in Central Pattaya after authorities received intelligence about his whereabouts. He had been hiding in Thailand since late 2024 after fleeing Israel following the attack.

According to Police Major General Chairit Anurit, Commander of Immigration Division 3, the suspect is accused of participating in a brutal assault in Tel Aviv. “The suspect and an accomplice allegedly lured a victim to their apartment, where they carried out a violent attack using bottles and knives, resulting in severe injuries,” Chairit said.

Israeli investigators revealed that T fled the country using forged travel documents after learning of his accomplice’s arrest. He later entered Thailand using his legitimate passport.
Thai Immigration initially detained the suspect for visa overstaying and are now working with Israeli officials in Thailand to proceed with extradition procedures.

The arrest highlights ongoing international law enforcement cooperation and Thailand’s efforts to prevent the country from becoming a haven for foreign fugitives.
